Resignation from your current position is not an easy decision but people are seeking improvement from time to time so we can't stay in the same position for too long.

Resignation doesn't always mean bad. First, you are ready to move to the next position or working environment. You will be able to learn more from the new place. Second, the next person who gonna take your position will be able to get promoted. Who know? He or she might be even better than you when placing in the position.

 Dear Mr.Boss,

I have enjoyed the past six years as a teacher at Estacado Elementary School. I have had a positive experience and will never forget the time I've spend with my students and fellow staff.

However, after carefully considering this decision, I have accepted another teaching position. I feel this is the best choice for my family.

My resignation date will be May 17th, the last day of school. I will be sure to follow necessary protocol for leaving my teaching position. Please let me know if there are additional steps to take. I have truly enjoyed working with you and my fellow teachers.

RE: Resignation from Senior Teacher position at Hummers Secondary School

Dear Sir

I am submitting a request for an early release from my contract as a Senior Teacher at Hummers Secondary school, with an effective date as of November 30 2010, which would be the end of this semester for the year.

My reason for this early release request is that I am accepting another teacher position at a State College which offers research and development opportunities. Although I enjoy my responsibilities and role in your esteemed school, I am drawn to the new frontiers of research and training which the new position offers.

I will carry on my role and responsibility befitting my work ethics until the school committee meets to approve my request.

I thank you for your kind understanding and consideration on my request.

Yours Sincerely

Miley Monay

RE: Resigning from Post of Teacher

I am writing to inform you on my decision to be released from my teaching position at Melrose Secondary School with effect from January 1st 2011, giving more than the stipulated 3 months’ notice as per my teaching contract.

The reason for my resignation is that I have decided to pursue my Masters degree in Education at the prestigious National University, whose course term commences in mid January 2011. It will be a 2 year full time studies for me which upon graduation, will open more education-related opportunities for my career.

As my resignation would require the approval of the school Board which only meets in December, I shall continue with my teaching responsibilities until then.

I thank you for your support extended to me while serving this school and I appreciate your kind understanding on my request.

Yours Truly,
